Mubasher: Kuwait’s overall exports decreased by 14% year-on-year (YoY) in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2019 to stand at KWD 4.6 billion ($15 billion), compared to KWD 5.4 billion ($17.5 billion) in Q4-18, according to official data.

The total imports by the GCC nation amounted to KWD 2.5 billion ($8.3 billion) in Q4-19, down by 1.1% YoY when compared to KWD 2.6 billion ($8.4 billion).

In the meantime, Kuwait recorded a surplus worth KWD 2 billion ($6.7 billion) over the period from September to December 2019, compared with KWD 2.8 billion ($9 billion), posting a 26% annual drop.

Trade exchanges fell to KWD 7.2 billion ($23.4 billion) from KWD 8 billion ($25.9 billion).
