AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, on Wednesday inaugurated a military housing project in Irbid for retired and active servicemen eligible for loans from the JAF Officers’ Housing Fund.

King Abdullah, also accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti, toured the housing project, which comprises 148 units in 16 four-floor buildings with basements, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty was briefed on the implementation stages of the project and the services it will offer to beneficiaries.

Plans in the near future include distributing land plots in a number of governorates to eligible JAF Officers’ Housing Fund applicants.
