Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has issued orders to distribute palm shoots, fruit trees, and various other trees to farmers in wilayats affected by cyclone Shaheen.

“His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, issued orders to distribute palm shoots, fruit trees, and various other trees to farmers in wilayats affected by climatic conditions (Shaheen). Seedlings and trees, and their distribution will be through the Ministry of Agricultural and Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources,” Royal Court Affairs said.

 

These orders come at a time when the Sultanate of Oman celebrates the occasion of Tree Day and to encourage farmers in affected wilayats to continue agricultural production and contribute to achieving food security in the country, and due to His Majesty's standing’s interest in the agricultural sector as an important tributary of the national economy.
