DUBAI: Al Mariah United Group, a locally based transport company, has launched their collection of Wuzhoulong buses in the UAE, including the very first CNG luxury coach.

Manufactured in China, the 50-seater luxury coach is 30 to 40 per cent cheaper to operate than regular diesel luxury coaches, at the same time offering environmentally concerned passengers a 'greener' ride.

The bus was on show to regional industry professionals at Commercial Vehicles Middle East, taking place from 6-8 March 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Ziad Nahass, Managing Director of Al Mariah United Group intends to use the exhibition to convince commercial vehicle buyers that a luxury coach that is safer, more environmentally friendly and cheaper to operate than its diesel counterparts is a viable proposition.

"The Wuzhoulong CNG Luxury Coach is a unique bus that delivers 280 horse power, while its emissions are well below the limits set for the European Emissions Standards, currently the most stringent emission standard in the world," said Nahass, whose company shipped in 32 of the buses from China in December, 2011 for its own transportation needs.

Organised by Streamline Marketing Group, Commercial Vehicles Middle East is the only industry specific exhibition that covers all types of heavy and light commercial vehicles, special vehicles, vehicle attachments, accessories, maintenance and repair services.

Along with the Wuzhoulong CNG luxury coach, Al Mariah United Group will also introduce to the UAE market the Wuzhoulong 29-seater diesel city coach and the Wuzhoulong 32-seater luxury coach at the exhibition.

Alexandria Robinson, Project Manager for Commercial Vehicles Middle East said: "Al Mariah United Group's launch of the UAE's first ever CNG luxury coach is reflective of their commitment to being a greater part of the UAE's solution to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from commercial vehicle engine exhausts.

"We are very pleased to provide them with a platform at Commercial Vehicles Middle East to launch the Wuzhoulong bus range for the UAE and wider GCC markets."Now in its third edition, Commercial Vehicles Middle East returns with the two-day Commercial Vehicles Middle East Conference, presenting case studies on fleet management systems to transform performance, increasing operational efficiency and reducing costs of heavy and light commercial vehicle fleets.

The exhibition and conference have established the UAE as a regional focal point for the commercial vehicles industry, which is the main draw for several other major organisations joining the exhibitor line-up. These include title sponsor Mercedes Benz, telematics sponsor Trinetra Wireless, along with AW Rostamani, IVECO, Daimler Middle East, and Emirates Transport.

Heiko Selzam, Director, Sales and Marketing of Commercial Vehicles at Mercedes Benz Middle East said: "The commercial vehicles industry is changing - it is no longer just about selling a truck, but providing a solution. The concept of combining an exhibition with a conference offers a great chance to open dialogue with customers, partners and experts from the industry.

"Delegates and visitors will be exposed to the latest products, services and technologies on display at the exhibition and will be given the chance to discuss with industry leaders at the conference on how to improve their operations."With the keynote address to be delivered by Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the RTA Licensing Agency, the Commercial Vehicles Middle East Conference will host an expert line-up of regional and international vehicle management professionals from AECOM, Daimler Middle East, Hertz UAE, ETA Ascon, and Leaseplan.
