The 3rd international banking services and electronic banking show is due Dec. 3-6, 2009, at Le Kram Exhibition Hall.

To be held at the initiative of the Tunisian Professional Association of Banks and Financial Establishments (APTBEF) and in association with Sogefoires, the event is part of a strategy aiming at raising the banking services and financial establishments to international standards and promoting electronic banking.

The event is also to focus on the banking sector's role in implementing the policy guidelines inherent in the presidential platform "Together We Meet Challenges" particularly with respect to point 12: "Tunisia, a banking services pole and a regional financial hub."

The event also seeks to act as a forum for spreading banking culture in Tunisia, developing electronic banking and modern payment devices. Most important, a basic goal consists in consolidating the banking institution-customer relationship.

The show will cover an area of 4000 m2 against 2000 m2 in its 2008 edition with the participation of 150 exhibitors against 81 in 2008.

Concurrently, a seminar on : "Bank Governance in the Maghreb" and a meeting called "Fraud Forum" on electronic banking fraud, as well as workshops to be moderated by exhibitors on topical matters have also been scheduled.

About 20 thousand visitors are expected this year against 15 thousand last year.
