ZTE is realising this project under collaborationwith KCC (Kapsch Carrier Com), a well experienced local system integrator. Under the agreement, ZTE will deploy a mobile CS (Circuit Switched) softswitchnetwork to replace the existing mobile core network for Telekom Austria Group inits northern operational districts, including Austria, Slovenia andLiechtenstein. At the same time, ZTE will build a new IMS (IP multimediasubsystem) network in these branches. The converged voice solutions provided to Telekom Austria Group is based on acloud solution helping to reduce TCO. Using an IMS hosting solution, thecentralized IMS core will be deployed to serve various branches of the Groupindependently, enabling the rapid launch of new services and giving the TelekomAustria Group centralised management and control of its networks. The newly-built IMS network will support various scenarios including RCSe (RichCommunication Suite-enhanced) and VoLTE (Voice over LTE) to enable fullconvergence of the operator`s fixed and mobile networks. The IMS RCSe servicewill provide a carrier-class multimedia experience to users, helping theoperator to deal with the challenges from Internet-based OTT (over the top)providers. The IMS network also helps to achieve standard VoLTE service. The newmobile softswitch and IMS network will help Telekom Austria Group tosignificantly increase its network capacity, enabling rapid growth of theoperator`s customer base. ZTE`s highly integrated core network equipment willsignificantly reduce the network`s physical footprint, enhance the servicequality and reduce the operator`s CAPEX.
