Interview with Zeyad Jaidah, Techno Q Managing Director

What's Techno Q's role in the Hospitality Management market?
Techno Q is currently supporting almost 20 creme de la creme hotels and almost 50 top quality restaurants software needs in town. Sterling Group, Ritz Carlton, Sheraton, Four Seasons and Al Sharq Hotel are some of our clients. We provide complete information management solutions, including software, hardware and enterprise systems integration.

Some of the applications are online reservations, front desk, sales, restaurant and retail POS, back office accounting.

What are Techno Q's competitive advantages?
It's quite simple: as we are serving five star hotels, excellence is the keyword.

We support them as they serve their guests: taking care of every detail, guaranteeing promptness and competency.

Micros Fidelio top-end quality applications are the premises of our success assuring consolidated, centralised, stable, innovative solutions.

Our team's capability is to customise them to our clients needs, train the hotels staff, and support them on a daily basis.

Your most recent successes?
We are proud to say that Micros Fidelio is now the only application used by the 4 and 5 star hotels in Qatar.

In fact, we recently won Movenpick and Bavaria Hotels and Suites as MF clients. We are currently deploying the application for La Cigale Hotel, the new talk in town with 240 rooms and suites, said to be the next must-see venue in town. We started the configuration of the system and training phase for Opera PMS, Micors POS and Materials Control.

What are Techno Q's short-term targets?
We are doing very well, thanks to the reputation we gained in the last 10 years in the market. Foe example, we almost doubled the yearly target for 2007. It's a challenging goal for our team but we are enthusiastic. We will be handling through our system over 6,000 hotel rooms. It's a huge responsibility!

We are also organising a full-day seminar for both our food service and hotel clients at the beginning of November. Let me take the opportunity of inviting those who are interested in attending our seminar. To contact us, send an email to info@technoq.com.

What is your growth prospective?
From now till 2012 is the golden period for us: 37 new hotels under construction or in advanced planning, the number of restaurants and coffee shop will also increase dramatically in this period. And let's not forget the two masterpieces under development: The Lusail and The Pearl which will host the most luxurius hotels in town.

Techno Q's long-term targets?
We are approaching a new market of non-chain hotels and we are also presenting Micros Fidelio solutions to non-hospitality clients who handle  complex accommodation and restoration programmes for their staff, like the Oil & Gas and Government companies.

We also recently started outsourcing to the GCC, Middle East and Africa: we recently supported the installation of Fidelio's systems in a prestigious property in Muscat, Oman.

What are the Micros Fidelio products you provide?
Techno Q can design install and maintain the full range of solutions provided by Micros Fidelio, which can easily be divided by Hospitality Applications and Point of Sales. Let me give you a few more details about this.

For the Point of Sales, Techno Q provides restaurant information systems comprising hardware and software for point-of-sale (POS) and operational applications, as well as a suite of back-office applications that include inventory, labour and financial management, and other centrally hosted enterprise applications like delivery and take-away modules, credit card interface, handheld and portable printers. For the hotels, Techno Q provides centralised and scalable software solutions, including Property Management and Central Hotel Solutions. We are talking about a fully integrated suite of products (including pay roll and personal, call accounting and digital signage) that can be easily combined for deployment at an organisation, irrespective of its size.
