JEDDAH: RTKL's health care division, a world major in the delivery of health care design, medical equipment and clinical IT planning, and Healthcare Development Holding Company (HDH), a division of the Saudi Binladen Group, have announced the formation of a joint venture company, Care-RTKL, based in Jeddah.

Care-RTKL, a subsidiary company of HDH, endeavors to enhance the quality and infrastructure of health care services nationally and regionally and is the first regional company with the capacity to deliver a competitive full turnkey health care solution from concept to operation.

Commenting on the joint venture, Wael Kaawach, CEO of HDH, said: "The combined expertise of the joint venture is especially relevant as medical equipment and IT technologies become increasingly complicated and are converging at an accelerated rate. Hence, we establish our partnership with RTKL."

Jeffery Davenport, CEO of CARE-RTKL, expressed his enthusiasm for the newly formed company.

He said: "We at RTKL are very excited about our joint venture with HDH, to which we bring more than 120 technical staff dedicated exclusively to medical equipment planning, procurement and IT design. In addition, we also have by far the largest team in the world focused on integrating these critical solutions to the health care community.

Care-RTKL is already executing several large contracts to provide integrated health care solutions in the field of medical equipment and medical IT systems planning.

These contracts include a number of organizations across Saudi Arabia, such as expansion of the health care and educational facilities of the National Guard, the King Saud College for Girls and others, which are still under planning with the Ministry of Defense, aside from the expansion of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and various private sector projects.
