RIYADH: Saudi Arabian Airlines Catering (SAAC) at Dammam's King Fahd International Airport has again received global accolades.

It has now won the IATA Catering Quality Assurance (ICQA) golden award for the second consecutive year.

The award is considered the most prestigious international recognition bestowed by IATA Catering Quality Assurance program.

It recognizes caterers who consistently perform well under the ICQA program and promotes best-demonstrated food processing practices in the areas of safety and quality.

The ICQA selects the award-winners from more than 220 eligible catering facilities

ICQA Golden Award is awarded regionally and in the case of the Dammam station, SAAC Dammam unit was selected amongst caterers from the Americas, Europe/Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific regions.

"Winning the award is certainly a great tribute to our dynamic and dedicated staff at all levels, who have clearly demonstrated their commitment to best practices and excellence in the field of in-flight food safety and quality standards," according to a statement.
