MUSCAT — Sadia, the poultry brand leader in the Middle East, strongly believes in the importance of food safety and health of consumers, says a press release. Sadia livestock, including chicken, are slaughtered individually by hand and according to Islamic rules. Farm and factory processes have the authenticity of ‘halal’ assurance.

Sadia’s slaughterhouses are constantly supervised by officials of the Islamic association and are periodically visited by Muslim delegations from the AGCC countries which inspect, audit and endorse the validity and compliance of the Shariah rules for ‘halal’ and meat hygiene.

Sadia was the first to introduce its green seal guarantee. The entire range of Sadia products carry the unique ‘green seal’ hallmark, guaranteeing its chickens are raised with 100 per cent vegetable feed.

The ‘green seal’ guarantee clearly communicates to consumers that Sadia’s long established production processes ensure quality, safety and taste. Sadia has received ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.

Sadia has been actively involved in community causes with Islamic orgnisations and its Oman distributor, Al Khan Foodstuff LLC, has participated in several such ventures. Sadia, now in its third decade of Middle East operations, has established itself as a favourite brand for whole chicken before the company expanded its line to include chicken parts and ready-to-eat items. Chicken parts include household favourites such as drumsticks, breasts, thighs and wings. Sadia’s extensive ready-to-eat and serve items range include chicken, beef and turkey franks, chicken and beef meatballs and burgers and breaded chicken products.

Sadia’s range of chicken nuggets is very popular with adults, especially with children. Chicken nuggets are available in ‘plain and crispy’ as stuffed with cheese adding a new twist to this old time favourite. Vegetable nuggets are also available.

The Sadia chicken breaded line, along with nuggets, are the only fully-cooked products in the market, ensuring safety and convenience to the consumer. The products simply need to be heated and are ready to serve. Mini chicken franks add to the variety available in Sadia’s children line, making mealtimes more enjoyable for children.

The combination of all these features underlines Sadia’s new regional campaign ‘the joy of good food’.
