Jordan Telecom Group (Orange Jordan) Chief Executive Officer Nayla Khawwam and Royal Film Commission - Jordan (RFC) General Manager George David signed this week a memorandum of understanding officially launching the "CineBus" project. According to the MoU, the project will showcase quality educational and recreational films across the Kingdom's governorates, in particular remote areas without access to technical equipment.
The project targets children and aims at developing their film culture. Jordan Telecom Group provided a b?s equipped with modern computers and connected to high speed Internet supplied by Orange, and the RFC equipped the bus with sound and projection gear and the film material to be screened. Khawwam stressed that Orange Jordan contributes widely in effective social development through meaningful partnerships with a number of civil society organisations. She described this partnership with the RFC as an excellent example of Orange's efforts to contribute effectively and on all levels to social development. Geo?ge David, noted that the commission strives to enlarge the scope of its activities by reinforcing its partnerships with national institutions; he added that the project is all the more important because it focuses on reaching out to children, especially in remote areas.
