DOHA: The Minister of State for Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and the President of International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol), Khoo Boon Hui yesterday launched a website for Interpol Doha Conference as part of the 79th General Assembly of Interpol that Doha is hosting on November this year.
The Director General of Public Security, Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director of International and Arab Police Communication Department Brig Khalifa Nasr Al Nasr, members of the delegation of the Interpol President and a number of officers from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) attended the ceremony.
Brig Khalifa Nasr Al Nasr said that the general assembly of Interpol is an annual event hosted by any member of the 188 member states.
Brig Al Nasr noted that the website was designed in cooperation with the Information Technology and Public Relations Departments of the MoI and it will provide participants with information of the participants in the Interpol general assembly.
The Assistant director of Information Systems Department Lt Col Abdul Rahman Al Malky explained about the content of the link which is both in Arabic and English. The public can visit the site at: www.moi.gov.qa/Interpol.
The website contains information about Qatar, hotels, airline offices, embassies, shopping centres, media and newspapers.
