DOHA: Key auto spare parts such as brake pads, seat belts and rims of automobile wheels will not be allowed into the country unless importers produce certificates issued by competent authorities in the countries of origin saying that the accessories comply with Qatari standards. The new import regulations with regard to be above auto spare parts will be brought into force from September 15.
DOHA: Key auto spare parts such as brake pads, seat belts and rims of automobile wheels will not be allowed into the country unless importers produce certificates issued by competent authorities in the countries of origin saying that the accessories comply with Qatari standards. The new import regulations with regard to be above auto spare parts will be brought into force from September 15.
The rules are being implemented by the Ministry of Environment's department of laboratory and standards affairs in close cooperation with the Consumer Protection Department of the Ministry of Business and Trade and the Department of Traffic.
And all types of auto tyres that will be imported into the country from September 15 will need to produce certificates of compliance with the GCC standards.
