MUSCAT -- Lieutenant-General Ahmed bin Harith Al Nabhani, chief of staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) received Major-General Hassan Abdul Razzaq Al Gazaieri, commander of the Command and Staff College in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They discussed measures for promoting bilateral cooperation.

The Saudi guest, accompanied by the chief of staff of the SAF, yesterday visited Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. During his tour of the various utilities of the mosque, the guest familiarised himself with the Islamic architecture of the mosque and was briefed on this role as cultural and Islamic centre.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Awadh bin Said Al Masheikhi, assistant chief of staff for training and joint exercises; Air Commodore Hilal bin Ali Al Hadhrami, commandant of Command and Staff College, and the Saudi military attache here. The Saudi guest also visited the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) Museum where he acquainted himself with Bait Al Falaj Castle and its content of defensive towers and architect, in addition to historical manuscripts and models which talk about the rich Omani ancient history.
