Singapore -- President Sellapan Ramanathan of Singapore received at the Presidential Palace here yesterday credentials of Shaikh Humaid bin Ali bin Sultan al Ma'ani as the Sultanate's non-resident ambassador to the Republic of Singapore. The ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to the Singaporean President and his best wishes to him, the government and the friendly people of Singapore of further progress and prosperity, stressing that the Sultanate's government is looking forward for strengthening bilateral ties in service of mutual interests of the two friendly peoples.
On his part, the president asked the ambassador to convey his greetings and those of the leadership and Government of Singapore to His Majesty the Sultan, the government and people of Oman, praising the wise policy of the Sultanate under His Majesty's leadership and the positive role it plays at both regional and international levels to bring about world security and stability. The ceremony was attended by Singaporean government officials.
