Tehran - Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Behrouz Alishiri said on Wednesday that foreign investment in Iran registered 13.8 percent growth.
Addressing a conference on investment opportunities in the area of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism, Alishiri said that foreign investment in Iran in 2011 reached $ 4.152 billion from $3.684 billion in 2010, showing 13.8 percent increase.
Iran has been among the worldˈs six leading countries in terms of attracting foreign investment in recent years, he said, adding that Iranˈs strategy is currently to encourage new partners for investment.
