Building on the success of its predecessor, the new MINI was recently unveiled to a crowd of proud MINI owners and future customers, featuring the highly anticipated MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S models. The new MINI is the first generation change since 2001 highlighting a brand new look, refined design and boasting an all-new drive-terrain for superior agility.

"MINI has experienced great success since its initial launch in Bahrain, acquiring both admiration and a great following. The new model is a representation of all things MINI, past and present, something that speaks directly to MINI aficionados in the region," said Frank Nadler, Area Manager, BMW Group Middle East.

"MINI has always had an attractive design, whether it's the interior design, exterior stance and size or solid and reliable performance, MINI has become a lifestyle expression for several generations."

The new MINI Cooper is powered by a 1.6 litre normal-aspiration engine developing maximum output of 88 kW/120 hp and the new MINI Cooper S comes with an even more powerful and dynamic 128 kW/175 hp turbocharged engine. The new MINI Cooper and the new MINI Cooper S come as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox. Also, both models are also available with automatic transmission, again boasting six speeds.

"The new MINI Cooper features a lighter, more powerful engine and better handling. A sports suspension and a turbocharged engine give the MINI Cooper S a confident stance and even better performance. Combined with a smooth six-speed manual or automatic transmission, the new MINI epitomizes driving in style," said Paul Yates, General Manager, Euro Motors.

Aside from engine performance and road handling, MINI's wide range of cloth materials, leather, interior colours, panels and trim options offers each and every MINI owner exactly the right option to personalise his or her car according to his individual taste. Combined with flexible exterior colours, owners can customize the shell and roof colours to their personal preference, making each MINI as unique as its driver.

"As always, MINI is all about personal taste and expressing oneself, and the new MINI is no different. With the option of personalizing both interior and exterior, and the additional mood lighting option, the new MINI is truly unique," ended Yates.
