NAS-Tech and flynas have launched their new technical training program for Saudi youth beginning with 30 trainees.
The Saudi nationals will receive training to gain the EASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency.
This is program is being launched for the first time in Saudi Arabia, targeting to bring out 150 engineers during the next few years.
Naeem Al-Shabana, executive director, group human resources and administration at NAS Holding, said the Aircraft Engineering Maintenance Training Program is being supervised by NAS-Tech for maintaining and engineering of aircraft which is the technical arm of NAS Holding.
The duration of the program is five years with the first year consisting of extensive English language training courses at the Wall Street Institute.
Wael Al-Sarhan, director of marketing and communication at NAS Holding, indicated that both NAS-Tech and flynas will provide unlimited support to the trainees in the Aircraft Engineering Maintenance Training Program in order for them to receive the EAS certificate.
These trainees will be the first to take part in this program in Saudi Arabia.
The company has very high hopes in the efficiency and skills of the trainees in the first batch of the program and for them to complete the course by achieving the best possible results.
Al-Shabana said all NAS Holding group of companies are deeply committed to training and employing Saudi youth.
This stems from the group's firm belief in the exceptional capabilities of Saudi youth.
He said output from such programs provide high skills and provides high quality workforce in the job market. The training program was preceded by an orientation program at the Wall Street Institute in Riyadh Bandar Al-Dabaan, head of HR Relationship Management at NAS Holding and other executives from the Wall Street Institute in Riyadh.
The AEMP is the latest of a series of NAS Holding training programs for Saudi youth, First Officers Program which targets graduating 150 First Officers and from which 70 trainees have graduated to date; the Flight Dispatchers Program targeting 50 graduates out of which 10 trainees have graduated to date; and the Cabin Crew Program which is currently in progress and has a target graduating more than 150 cabin crew.
