Munya Specialized Resorts one of the tourism development subsidiaries under Jordan Dubai Properties (JD Properties), the investment arm of Jordan Dubai Capital in the tourism and real estate sectors announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoA) with the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).
The MoU puts forward a clear framework to ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with both parties' environmental protection commitments in the area. The memorandum is in line with the Higher Regulatory Council's requirements in this regard; Munya will collaborate with MoA to implement the project in strict adherence to environmentally sound criteria that will enable the preservation of the location's natural habitat.
This includes limiting the number of trees that will be removed and replanting what can be replanted in cooperation with specialists in the field. Munya is also committed to planting 10,000 trees in a predetermined location, to be agreed upon with MoA. Furthermore a special committee will be created to follow up on the progress of the project to ensure that the set environmental regulations are being met.
