Damascus - Information Minister, Dr. Mohsen Bilal held a meeting on Wednesday evening with Sheikha Mai Al Khalifeh, the Bahraini Minister of Culture and Information.

The meeting dealt with cooperation between the two brotherly countries, particularly in the field of culture and media.

Minister Bilal stressed the necessity of coordinating efforts between Arab countries to foil the Israeli endeavor at the UNESCO to register Tal Qadi, located in the occupied Syrian Golan on the list of world heritage, especially that Bahrain is one of the five Arab countries in the World Heritage Committee.

The Minister expressed readiness for cooperation with the Bahraini Culture and Information Ministry to produce joint drama which focuses on the suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of the Israeli occupation, on the occasion of Jerusalem as the Capital of Arab Culture 2009, and offering the required experiences to the Bahraini side in the filed of media.

The Bahraini Minister expressed desire to make use of Syrian experiences in the field of media and to cooperate in the field of drama production due to the distinguished presence of Syrian drama on the Arab arena and presenting a lot of works which touched upon the Arabs' sentiment and aspirations.
