The Gulf Maharashtra Business Forum (GMBF) Globals’ most popular event Mahabiz aroused huge interest amongst the business community as it took place against the backdrop of India and UAE concluding the historic CEPA.
 
Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) outlines new avenues for investment aiming to increase bilateral trade from $60 billion to $100 billion in the next five years.
 
Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, highlighted how excellent relations between India and UAE has culminated in the CEPA agreement which is going to immensely benefit both the countries. Dr Al Zeyoudi appreciated the positive role being played by business support organisations like GMBF.
 
Mahabiz, on February 19 and 20 in Dubai, was attended by over 600 business owners/entrepreneurs/professionals from 11 countries. The Theme of Mahabiz 2022 was “learn, unlearn and re learn”. Nitin Gadkari, Cabinet Minister, Government of India and Sajjan Jindal, Chairman of JSW Group and chairman of World Steel Association participated virtually and Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah free zone, Sheikh Majid Rashid Al Mualla, Vishwajeet kadam, Minister of State, Government of Maharashtra, Dr Aman Puri consul General of India and Dr Sunil Manjrekar President GMBF Global took part.
All the speakers appreciated the role played by GMBF Global in promoting the business interest amongst India, UAE, GCC Countries and Africa. The presence of a large number of participants from the African region was a notable feature at Mahabiz 2022.
 
Special Souvenir Mahabiz Links and GMBF Global App were also launched during the inauguration. GMBF Global commemorated the Birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj one of the architects of India.
 
Keeping in mind the future of businesses post-pandemic, round table panel discussions were held on topics such as - Innovation in traditional business, Online marketplaces - The new way forward, Guidance by UAE business Veterans and Role of industry body and Associations and Untapped Africa.
 
Sadhguru founder of Isha Foundation made a virtual address to the conference and stressed on the important role business owners should play as a part of their social responsibility such as “conservation and protection of soil”. Brahmavihari Swamiji who is currently overseeing the project of first traditional temple in UAE being built in Abu Dhabi stressed the need for a proper mind set for successful and meaningful business growth.
 
On the second day, motivational speaker, Paresh Chugani, gave the practical tips for the attendees. The attendees actively participated in a specially designed speed networking which ensured a proper connect amongst the participants.
