BEIRUT, March 28 (KUNA) -- Counselor at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon Jassem Al-Najem on Wednesday affirmed deepness of historical relations between Kuwait and Lebanon and Kuwait's keenness on improving and strengthen bilateral ties in order to serve both countries.

In a statement to KUNA following his meeting with Director-General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Abdulwahab Al-Bader at Beirut International Airport, who is here to sign a USD 46 million loan agreement with Lebanon, Al-Najem pointed out the projects that KFAED has implemented in Lebanon prove Kuwaiti support and stance to this country in various arenas.

Also, Al-Bader noted the importance of KFAED's projects in Lebanon, which include development, health, social, and cultural fields, adding that they would boost development and economy in Lebanon.

KFAED is to sign a loan agreement, worth USD 46 million, to contribute to sanitation projects in southern Lebanese cities of Marjayoun, Khiam, and Chakra.
