BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Kuwait Petroleum Corp., or KPC, the umbrella corporation of the country's state-owned oil sector, said it signed Tuesday a long-term contract to supply Kuwaiti crude oil to Japan's Fuji Oil Refinery, state-run Kuwait News Agency, or Kuna, reports Tuesday.

This deal will generate substantial financial returns to Kuwait over the coming years valued at billions of dollars, KPC told the news agency.

The two sides are currently studying the possibility that KPC's unit Kuwait Oil Tanker Co. transports the agreed-upon crude quantities, KPC told Kuna.
