Baghdad (AIN) -MP, Mohamed Iqbal, called the Government to neglect the tendency to control all the institutes of the State and to ensure the freedom of press.

Speaking to AIN, he expressed his regret for the deteriorated freedom and rights in Iraq according to the international reports."

"The freedom of press became a dream in Iraq despite all the claims due to the method followed in consolidating dictatorship," he added.

He indicated "The critical consequences of the procedures taken recently against some media outlets."
