MANAMA: ila Bank has launched an in-app ‘transfer by mobile number’ feature to empower customers to make payments directly by entering a mobile number, using the BenefitPay app.
Aligned with the needs of the new no-touch economy, the feature enables customers to transfer money to other ila users and those contacts with local bank Bahraini dinar accounts registered on the BenefitPay app.
Customers can also transfer money from any of ila’s seven foreign currency accounts to other customers using their mobile number.
Commenting on the new feature, ila Bank Bahrain chief executive Mohamed Al Maraj said: “ila is on a relentless mission to deliver innovative services that enhance the overall customer experience, particularly in payments where behavioural changes are intensifying the need for fast, effortless digital payments to be accessible to customers at all times.
“Simple, easy-to-use banking services are our ultimate goal.
