Idleb - Governor of Idleb Safwan Abo Saadi stressed Saturday that maintenance and repair workshops are continuing work to rehabilitate the terrorism-hit infrastructure in Ariha city.
During a meeting of the subcommittee of the High Commission for Syrian Relief, Abo Saadi pointed out that the government has decided to disperse SYP 25 million in aid to the city, to which the army recently restored full security and stability in all the neighborhoods.
Additional SYP 5 million were given to the city's council to rehabilitate infrastructure.
He noted that all service sectors in Ariha have resumed work as repairs at electricity, water and phone networks and facilities are almost done.
The Governor added that a comprehensive plan will be set out to provide basic needs and open makeshift residential centers to host the displaced families.
Yamen Hussein, Secretary of Idleb Branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union, highlighted that groups of young volunteers are working with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) to deliver humanitarian aid to the families affected by the terrorist groups' acts.
Head of the SARC branch in Idleb, Ma'moun Kharbout, said the branch is waiting for the arrival of 10 trucks of food supplies to be distributed to the poor families.
