The Embassy of Pakistan has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Qatar's Elegancia Healthcare for recruitment of healthcare professionals from Pakistan.

The MoU was signed by Pakistan ambassador Muhemmed Aejaz, representing the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), and Elegancia Healthcare CEO Joseph Hazel, on October 19, 2023, at Tower Eighteen, Lusail, a statement from the embassy said Monday.

"This MoU is a step forward in facilitating the process of recruiting skilled healthcare professionals from Pakistan by creating a pathway for specialists, including doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff, to contribute their expertise to not only to Qatar's healthcare sector but also at Elegancia Healthcare's affiliated hospitals in other regions," it was explained.

"This collaboration also reflects a strong partnership between Pakistan and Qatar and underscores their commitment to cultivating a diverse and skilled healthcare workforce," the statement added.
