Dubai A third title from the GN Magazines stable — wheels — has got itself an app for the iPad and Android tablets. The earlier ones were for Aquarius, the wellness magazine, and alpha, the men’s title.
“The launch of our digital publishing strategy is a milestone for the group and the first step towards ensuring our magazine brands are available to readers in their medium of choice,” said Adrian Pickstock, publishing director at GN Magazines.
The app for wheels, a weekly motoring magazine, comes with interactive features, videos, extra images as well as content exclusive for the tablet.
It is available free of charge at Apple’s App Store and on the Android Market.
According to Pickstock, other titles in the portfolio would come with their own apps in the coming months. This would dovetail “with developments across other mediums including online and mobile”, he added.
The other publications in the GN Magazines fold include Friday, InsideOut and Scene.
