KARBALA: The first branch of Rafidain Bank in Karbala was opened on Monday at a cost of 800 million Iraqi dinars (around $683761), Karbala's deputy governor said.
KARBALA: The first branch of Rafidain Bank in Karbala was opened on Monday at a cost of 800 million Iraqi dinars (around $683761), Karbala's deputy governor said.
"The branch was opened in al-Husseiniya district, north of Karbala," Adel Hashem al-Moussawi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"The two-storey building have been established in 10 months within the finance ministry's allocations," he added.
"We demanded the bank's board to open new branches in other districts, mainly in al-Harr, west of Karbala for its condensed population," he said.
Karbala is 110 km southwest of Baghdad.
