CAIRO (Zawya Dow Jones)-Ezz Steel Co SAE (ESRS.CI) late Tuesday asked the Egyptian Stock market to resume trading on its stock and give it a 10-day extension to report its 2010 financial results.

The bourse stopped trading on Ezz Steel shares Monday because the company hadn't reported its 2010 and first-quarter financial results, a stock market spokesman told Zawya Dow Jones Monday.

Ezz Steel said in a statement Tuesday the reason for the delay was that auditing for one of its units, Al Ezz Dekheila Steel, had not yet been finished.

A stock exchange committee on July 6 gave Ezz Steel 15 days to report its financial results. Trading on the stock was halted because the company exceeded this time limit, the bourse said Monday.
