Ajman: Defending champions Eurocon Alubond entered the semifinals of the Trucape Kibsons Twenty20 Ramadan tournament organised by Ajman Council, beating Manntech by eight wickets. In a one-sided match, Eurocon bowlers restricted Manntech to 154 runs with Pakistani player Farhan Ayoub taking three wickets.
Chasing the target, Eurocon won in the twelfth over. Openers Ahmad Dar and Nasser Jamshed put on a 91-run partnership. Jamshed, international left-handed batsman from Pakistan, thrilled spectators with his splendid knock of 52 off 21 balls which included ten fours and one six.
In the Ten Sports Sharjah Ramadan tournament, Affan Cricket Club defeated Emirates Islamic Bank by 29 runs to enter the semifinals.
Meanwhile, Ibsons Club, riding on a half-century from Zubair Akhtar, got the better of Lahore Gymkhana by four wickets to make it to the last-four stages.
