DUBAI, 18th September, 2016 (WAM) -- Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has received the 5th edition of the Project Management Professional, PMP, certification. This became possible after a team of DEWA professionals successfully passed the PMI, Project Management Institute, standards. This supports DEWAs ongoing commitment to learning in line with achieving the UAE Vision 2021, to transform the UAE into one of the best countries in the world by 2021.
The renewed certification reflects DEWAs ability to provide its employees, with world-class training and educational programmes that will enhance the efficiency of development projects, by adopting advanced principles of project management. To earn the Registered Education Providers designation, a provider must meet or exceed rigorous standards for quality and effectiveness as defined by PMI. "I would like to congratulate DEWA for receiving this certificate, which I consider an achievement of great significance. DEWA works in adherence with the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to develop the skills and capabilities of our staff," said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
