Abu Dhabi, Dec.28th, 2007(WAM)-- Costa Europa, a sophisticated cruise ship berthed at Port Zayed today.
On board the 642-cabin ship are more than 1,650 tourists in addition to some 700 crew members. Mohammed Abdul Aziz, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports said the port authorities had made the necessary arrangements to enable the tourist take a city tour, including the spectacular Corniche and Heritage Village. More than 18,000 tourists visited Abu Dhabi last year, said Abdul Aziz, adding that the UAE capital, which is increasingly becoming a popular destination for global tourism, is set to receive more than 40 cruise ships from December 2007 to March 2008. Costa Europa reflects the style and atmosphere of continental Europe, blending rich colours and Old World artistry in a refined style, accentuated by the mystery of Greek myths and legends.
