Islamabad - Spokesperson of a major Pakistani political party on Friday said that conspiracy to isolate Iran has failed and cannot be materialized.
Talking to IRNA, spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for defense issues Vice Admiral (retd) Javed Iqbal said that support of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) states for Iranian nuclear program at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors meeting is a great achievement for Iran.
NAM in the statement has welcomed Iran's constructive measure and cooperation in holding two rounds of talks with senior officials of the agency led by IAEA Deputy Director General Herman Nackaerts in Tehran to resolve the outstanding issues.
Vice Admiral (retd) Javed Iqbal endorsed the statement of Islamic Republic of Iran's Ambassador to the IAEA Ali Asghar Soltanieh that the IAEA's board of governors meeting has witnessed the defeat of US' diplomacy vis-a-vis Iran's diplomacy.
The politician was of the opinion that Iran is a responsible state and has always believed in diplomacy to settle issues. "The conspiracy to isolate Iran has failed as it cannot be materialized", said the PTI leader.
He added that Iran is against confrontation so the west has to change its approach towards Iran.
He urged the Muslim countries to support Iran against the western dominance. "Definitely the American diplomacy against Iran has failed," viewed the political leader.
The politician said that his party is against all kinds of terrorism, adding assassination of Iranian scientists is a cheap trick and cannot deter Iran from achieving its goals.
Vice Admiral Iqbal said in reply to a question, Israel is behind the killings of Iranian scientists, adding that the country has always targeted Muslim achievers with the backing of the US. "Such acts are not acceptable," he warned.
Leader of Pakistan's Tehreek-e-Insaf party was of the view that acquiring nuclear technology is Iran's undeniable right. He asked, 'Why the west is not worried about the military nuclear program of Israel which is an undeclared nuclear power?'
The politician also said that Iran is fully cooperating with the IAEA and has proved to be a law abiding state in this regards.
"The success of Iran at the IAEA board of governors meeting is a slap on US face," said Vice Admiral (retd) Javed Iqbal.
