SALALAH -- Salalah Tender Board yesterday held a meeting under the chairmanship of Shaikh Abdul Khaliq bin Amer bin Mansoor al Rowas, Acting Deputy Governor of Dhofar.
The meeting opened bids for the tender No 31/2011 related to the operation and maintenance of Keebot water plan and presented the incoming letter form the Under-Secretary of Sports Affairs related to the technical report No 15/2011 regarding the maintenance and operation of Al Sa'adah Sports Complex.
It reviewed the two letters for the CEO of Salalah Free Zone Company related to the tender No 10/2009 regarding developing Adhan site (first stage) in Salalah Free Zone, and tender No 28/2011 related to the consultancy services for the revision of the general layout for Salalah Free Zone Company and preparing the designs and supervision for the implementation of the infrastructure for Adhan site (first stage).
The Committee reviewed the memorandum from the Supervisor General of the Tender Department related to the tender No 8/2007 regarding the construction of 20 housing units in Kuboot area in the Wilayat of Shaleem and Halaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate, the two letters from the Chairman of the Rural Areas Electricity Company on the tender No 12/2011 related to the construction of 33kv power line from the power plant in Saih al Khairat to the Niyabat of Baithnah and tender No 13/2011 related to connecting the electric current to the social houses in Al Hashman in the Wilayat of Thumrait.
The committee referred the bids for the tender No 27/2011 related to the annual maintenance of the dust roads in the desert areas in Dhofar Governorate to the Directorate-General of Roads and Land Transportation for study and analysis and then raise a technical report to the committee to take the suitable decision, the tender No 28/2011 related to the annual maintenance of the dust roads in the mountainous areas in Dhofar Governorate to the Directorate-General of Roads and Land Transportation for study and analysis and then raise a technical report to the committee to take the suitable decision towards them, tender No 29/2011 related to the annual maintenance of the asphalt roads in Dhofar Governorate to the Directorate-General of Roads and Land Transportation for study and analysis and then raise a technical report to the committee to take the suitable decision, in addition to completing the award procedures for the tender No 22/2011 related to the supply of service vehicles for the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar for a number of companies and tender No 33/2011 related to the purchase of vehicles and equipment for Dhofar Municipality for a number of companies.
The committee also reviewed the works of the internal tenders and discussed a number of topics listed on the agenda, approved the agenda of the previous meeting No 18/2011, the internal memorandum, the letter from the Director of Project Accounts and development budget related to renewing the contract with engineers.
It also reviewed the completed works and referred the bids for tender No 24/2011 related to the electromechanical and civil works to four water wells to the Directorate-General for Water and then raise a technical report to the committee to take the suitable decision towards them, the tender No 26/2011 related to the construction of two mechanical workshops for the transportation department at the office of the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar to the Directorate-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs for study and analysis and then raise a technical report to the committee to take the suitable decision towards them.
The committee also reviewed completing the procedures to award the tender No 28/2011 related to the supply of commodity supplies for the Directorate-General of Water, tender No 29/2011 related to the installation of cameras for the main buildings at the Office of the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, in addition to sending a letter to the Directorate-General of water approving negotiation with Dr Ahmed Abdul Warith & Co office to conduct a study to rehabilitate the existing water network, provide proposals and designs for the operation of the water distribution network at the optimum efficiency and the letter of the Directorate-General for Water approving negotiation with major projects company to reduce the supply prices for the water desalination plant in Rakhyut.
The meeting also discussed the completed works upon which appropriate decisions were taken.
