Bahrain's Minister of Oil and Gas Abd al-Husain Ali Mirza said that Bahrain has planned to take practical steps to import Iranian gas.

He told Manama-based AlAwasat newspaper that he is scheduled to confer with an Iranian technical delegation on implementing an agreement on Iran's gas import to Bahrain.

He said the Iranian delegation is due to hold talks with Bahrain to study implementation of the program.

Ali Mirza said that Bahrain is interested in joint investment in Iranian gas field and that he will also review practical plans in this respect including drawing up the route for laying pipeline.
