Bahrain-based BBK announced the launch of their Ramadhan special Al Hayrat campaign. Al Hayrat savings scheme was introduced by BBK in 2001 and has seen great success ever since. The scheme allows BBK and non-BBK banking customers to open saving accounts with just BD50 and gives them a chance to win huge cash prizes in monthly draws.
"Our aim was to make this holy month very special for our customers as well as initiate others to start investing for a secure future through this scheme. What we are offering via the Ramadhan special Al Hayrat scheme is unique as there will be weekly draws during the month of September instead of the usual monthly draws," said Reinaldo Moarry, Head of Retail Marketing for the bank.
He said, "As we wanted the scheme to encourage customers to save, we reduced the eligibility period. Normally the customer would have to make the deposit one month before the draw to be eligible, but this Ramadhan, the customer can deposit the amount one week before the said date of the draw and he or she will be eligible to win."
A total of $140,000 will be given away as cash prizes via this Ramadhan special campaign. Each week one winner will walk away with cash prizes that grow higher in denomination as the weeks pass by. The first draw will be held on September 7, where a winner will bag $20,000 while on the September 14, one winner will get $30,000. On September 21, a $40,000 cash prize will be given whereas on September 28, for the Eid special draw, the lucky winner will get a $50,000 cash prize.
Moarry said, "The holy month is all about giving and we want to give our customers a chance to win these prizes to secure a safe future for themselves and their families. We wish our customers and their families Ramadhan Kareem."
