Vienna - The Austrian newspaper Kurier published a tourist and cultural report on Syria, describing Syria as a "magnificent window to the East crowned with generations of life culture."
The report said Syria is considered the cradle of civilization and cultures with its history that spans ten thousand years and 25 civilizations that created a unique cultural and religious diversity.
The newspaper also pointed out to the development being witnessed in Syria on all levels, making it a mixture of civilization and modernity, underlining that Syria is a unique example of tolerance and understanding among its people.
The report also underlined the history of Damascus, which is considered one of the oldest capitals in the world.
The report contained dozens of photos showing tourist, historic and religious landmarks in Damascus, Aleppo and Palmyra, such as the Umayyad Mosque, al-Hamidiya Souk, Aleppo Castle, old Palmyra, Resafa, and Maaloula.
