RIYADH: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, met Radion Popov, Bulgarian deputy minister of foreign affairs on Monday and discussed topics of mutual interests. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Nahla Al Anbar, private executive assistant to Prince Alwaleed.
Popov said after the meeting that his government warmly welcomes Prince Alwaleed to invest in Bulgaria, and re-visit the country to consider investment opportunities there.
Popov said that economic issues and the tourism sector were also discussed, adding that he had handed a letter to the prince from the Mayor of Kazanlak with an investment proposal.
In 2009, Prince Alwaleed was awarded the "Madara Horseman" Medal which is the highest medal in Bulgaria, by the Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov during an official visit to Republic of Bulgaria.
