Dubai Former champions Al Wasl Club were to unveil their latest Spanish acquisition Francisco Javier Yeste Navarro at club premises today. Yeste Navarro, who will be 31 at the end of this year, has signed a two-year contract with the seven-time UAE League Champions.
The club had planned an impressive welcome for the new attacking midfielder who moved away from Athletic Bilbao after spending 11 years of his professional career with the Spanish side.
"This is a top-class player and we hope our club can make an impression during the new season," a club official told Gulf News.
Born in Basauri, Biscay and a product of Athletic Bilbao's youth ranks, Yeste Navarro made his first team debut in a 0-2 loss at Racing de Santander on February 7, 1999. From 2000, Yeste Navarro was used regularly in Athletic's first team.
