Abu Dhabi, Dec 22nd, 2010 (WAM) -- A heritage camel race is due to be held on Friday in the Western Region - at Madinat Zayed, as part of the fourth season of Al Dhafra Festival which kicked off last Thursday.
The festival is organised by The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) under the patronage of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, from December 16 - 25. The race is open only for citizen of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC) aged 18 to 70 years old. Every participant must pass a medical test. Participants must produce their passports or ID cards, plus two photos when registering. Moreover, each participant should be wearing protection and a helmet. One car is allocated for each lap winner. The rest are cash prizes which run up to tenth place.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2010.
