Al Baraha Hospital hosts Laparoscopic and Gastric Banding Surgeon

Dubai, June 10th, 2012 (WAM) -- Al Baraha Hospital hosted Dr. Ameet Patel, Bariartic and Laparoscopic Surgeon in Kings College Hospital in London as part of the overseas consultants program which is organized by the Ministry of Health.

Ahmed Obaid Al Khadeem, Director of Al Baraha Hospital, stated that the visiting consultant checked 31 patients where he selected 10 patients for conducting loss weight surgeries either through stomach diversion or quantization. All operations were successful.

Dr. Patel lauded the technical equipments in Al Baraha Hospital, the necessary logistics provided for such operations in addition to the efficiency of the public surgeons, anesthesia and nursing team.

The public surgery team chaired by Dr. Shoaib Kathim, head of surgery section in the hospital participated in the operations.

Dr. Ameets visit is part of the strategy of the Ministry of Health to provide the best health services for UAE locals and residents.
