Damascus - The 15th session of the International Agricultural and Veterinary Equipment Exhibition (AGRITEX) kicked off on Tuesday with the participation of 300 local, Arab and international companies.
The four-day expo features modern agricultural and veterinary equipment. It aims at promoting Syrian agricultural products and introducing modern farming and animal-raising requirements, in addition to expanding agricultural trade exchange with neighboring countries.
Head of the Veterinarians Syndicate Dr. Samir Ismael underlined the event's importance in introducing latest scientific developments in agricultural and veterinary technology, calling on organizers to hold seminars and lectures on the importance of using technology in agriculture.
The expo is organized by Federation of Agriculture Chambers and the Veterinarians Syndicate, with the participation of companies from Syria, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Pakistan.
This event aims at supporting the Syrian policy of bolstering the role of agricultural sector and improving it. The current session coincides with an increasing international and local demand on agricultural and animal products.
