Tehran - Iran's oldest oil refinery will be offering products of euro-4 quality in the current Iranian year to March 2015, a top official said.
Saeed Mahjoubi, director for coordination at National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, said projects for Abadan Refinery to boost the quality of its products are to be implemented this year, the Petroenergy news network SHANA reported on Wednesday.
He said that old units of Abadan Refinery will be deactivated so that new units could become operational.
The facility is currently producing 20 ml/d of gasoline and 10 ml/d of gasoil of euro-2 grade.
Mahjoubi said no quality project has been defined for Shiraz Refinery which is producing 1.9 ml/d of gasoline and 3.6 ml/d of gasoil.
