A total of 560 job-seekers were employed in 342 private companies in the week ending December 25, the Labour and Social Development Ministry announced yesterday.

The job-seekers were hired in positions that matched their educational profile, it added.

In addition, from last Sunday until Saturday, 347 applicants received occupational training.

Overall, the National Employment Programme 2.0 has employed 25,702 individuals in 6,720 different establishments, exceeding the 25,000 target for this year, and trained 12,488 job-seekers, exceeding the 10,000 targets for the year.
