This will be the second step the ministry would have taken to support the teachers after the stipulated increment is paid in September retroactive from April. The ministry will also allow the teachers to view their yearly evaluation any time in the course of the year through a special code each teacher will be given that allows them to access their files and view the contents. This initiative will be the basis of all future evaluations in the ministry.

In another development, students in the private schools could also benefit from the flash memory project which the Ministry of Education is planning to implement at the beginning of next academic year. Based on contract the ministry signed with the concerned company, 371,000 flash drives will be distributed to students in the public schools, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

Meanwhile, sources were quoted as saying the Private Education Sector has yet to receive any note from the ministry regarding this project and that the centers for adult education will not be included in the project.
