Fata EPC hails Qatalum plant inauguration
Doha: Fata EPC, one of the EPC contractors on the Qatalum Project, responsible for the Casthouse and Anode Baking Plant, has described the opening of Qatalum Plant as an important day for the industry and for Qatar.Fata is a Finmeccanica Company and is located in Turin Italy. The Casthouse is the largest in the world, represents the latest state of the art technology and produces high value foundry alloy castings and extrusion billets.
FATA EPC, CEO, Anthony Tropeano, now in Doha to attend the Qatalum inauguration, spoke about Fata's participation in the Project, the success of the Qatalum Project, Fata presence in Qatar, and its commitment to HSE Program on the Project with over 12 million hours without accidents.
During the visit Anthony Tropeano has also met with the new Chairman of the Italian Business Council of Qatar (IBCQ), Palma Libotte, regarding future activities and mutual cooperation. Fata was one of the founding members in establishing the Council several years ago.
The Council assists small and medium Italian Companies in establishing themselves or doing business with Qatar.
