BEIJING, March 22 (Reuters) - A top official of China's state assets regulator met with Saudi Aramco's chief executive last week for discussions over cooperations in the oil, engineering and power sectors, according to a statement posted on an official website on Wednesday.

* Huang Danhua, deputy chairwoman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) met with Aramco CEO Amin Nasser for discussions.

* Nasser said he hoped to expand cooperation with China's state-owned companies over refining, crude oil trade and storage.
