The Aston Martin Owners Club, (AMOC) Saudi Arabia was pre-launched recently with an Aston Martin themed event that formed the inaugurating event for the development of a vibrant owners club that will engage and develop Aston Martin owners’ experience of their cars and the marque.

AMOC Saudi Arabia in Jeddah is only the second Club in the Kingdom to be granted authorization for an exclusive automobile/sports club. The club will be permanently located in the new soon-to-open Aston Martin Flagship Showroom with AMOC-SA Lounge on upmarket Tahlia Street, Jeddah.

The pre-launch was the expected huge success and attended by distinguished members of the Jeddah community, that included Aston Martin owners, sponsors, VIPS and other notable guests.

The official opening event followed a series of presentations, opened with a keynote speech from Sheikh Ali Alireza, Managing Director of Haji Husein Alireza & Co. LTD, sole concessionaires for Aston Martin in the Kingdom.  He welcomed guests and VIPs and gave a brief review of the inspiration behind the Club.

“The foundation of the club is an acknowledgement of the support extended towards the initiative to develop a lively interaction between Aston Martin and its enthusiastic car owners,” he told the guests. “The ethos of the club is to build a platform that instills a sense of personal ownership of the marque.”

Commenting on the formation of AMOC, Berkeley Group MENA, Ian Plumley, Senior Vice President MENA & India for Berkeley Group, said the group was proud to co-sponsor the Aston Martin Owners Club – Saudi Arabia Pre-Launch event alongside their regional partners JLL. He noted that the superbly organized event celebrated the best of Aston Martin and its heritage.

“Aston Martin being such a quintessential marque was a perfect fit for Berkeley Group reflected great synergy between us all. A special “thank you” from us to Haji Husein Alireza & Co. Ltd.”

Both Managing Directors of HHA, Sheikh Ali Alireza and Sheikh Khalid Alireza, thanked guests for demonstrating their dedicated support by attending the event. “The club is nothing without the support and input of its members,” Sheikh Khalid noted, “and the enthusiastic gathering today indicates a bright future both for us and Aston Martin in Saudi Arabia.”

Many of the guests had already taken the opportunity to arrive in their Aston Martins as a sign of both their passion for and solidarity with the marque.

Sheikh Ali Alireza introduced the three founding members of the AMOC Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Mehelmy, Saami Bahrawi and Raed Kayal.

The Club’s President Raed Kayal, who had worked closely with the Aston Martin team over the past few months, gave a detailed presentation discussing the concept of the club, membership criteria, board structure and key Aston Martin themed events it will hold.

Among the many distinct benefits offered by the AMOC-SA for its members are year-round national and international events. Members will have the opportunity to visit Aston Martin Lagonda to receive exclusive briefings on latest and future developments in the company and gain privileged access to future development strategies.

Guests got a chance to meet and connect with each other and examine in detail the cars on display, including the DB 11 and Rapide-S.

Owners and guests had to test-drive the new favorite Aston Martin model, the DB11, Vanquish, V12 Vantage-S and Rapide-S during the event.
