Jeddah - The government plans to allow DNA testing for those seeking Saudi citizenship, including children in shelters, abandoned or lost, and those who claim their fathers are Saudis.
This comes in the wake of reports that 853 children are claiming that Saudi men had fathered them with their foreign mothers. These men had denied paternity, a local publication reported Wednesday. The tests would be completely confidential, with the identities of all parties protected. The tests have been approved by the country's Council of Senior Scholars.
